GIS (Geographic Information Systems)

image_2023-07-11_154300937 The City of Franklin has been using GIS to locate infrastructure assets and manage property since 2014. In 2018, that expanded to manage more data. Using GIS, all departments in the City, as well as many County and State departments, collaborate with our GIS organization to share data in real-time. In 2023, the City added GIS as an official department by hiring our long-time GIS contractor, Jon Zambrano to become a full-time City employee.
